Changes in Vertical Access by Full Icecat users

Icecat changes its Vertical access policies from the 31st of January 2021. On the Icecat website, Full Icecat users see, on the “My profile” tab the assigned Verticals, i.e. the main categories or catalogs of Icecat. See the example below:

Request buttons for Vertical Access or Brand Authorization

In short, Icecat will limit access to the Full Icecat content of Verticals to which the user is not yet subscribed, from January 31, 2021, onward. Therefore, please, check whether you have already access to all Verticals you need. You can download the full category tree here.

Expand Full Icecat Vertical Access

Does this affect access to the product data-sheets of free Open Icecat? No. You still have access to any content that is available through Open Icecat like before. However, there can be brands that have an Authorized Reseller-only syndication policy in place. In that case, you will need to request brand authorization first from your own brand contact. Icecat can be the intermediate. If you need Full Icecat access to other Verticals, you can hit the respective request button or contact your account manager. If you don’t have a Full Icecat subscription yet or if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us
