Carrefour Calls its Suppliers to use Vendor Central or Open Icecat

There’s a longstanding co-operation with Carrefour, among others in Belgium. Carrefour Belgium – relaunching non-food categories on its bilingual website Carrefour.eu soon – is calling its non-food suppliers to register for Icecat’s free Vendor Central. Moreover, the free Vendor Central allows supplier brands to enter, edit and enrich their product content for all their products free of charge. This way, brands and suppliers can enter product data themselves for Carrefour.eu. Or join Open Icecat, for unlimited syndication of all their product information to all their (e-commerce) channel partners.

Carrefour is individually contacting its suppliers, indicating the relevant assortment that needs to be covered. “The enrichment and quality of product content and images are crucial in stimulating online sales. Better and more great content, will result in better visibility of a supplier’s product on our website”, according to the management of Carrefour.

Carrefour expanded the display of digital assets, and now supports:

  • up to 10 product images (each at least 1500 x 1500 px)
  • video
  • PDFs for folders and manuals

In case you need more information, please contact your Account Manager or you can contact Icecat online. You can also see our step-by-step tutorial videos on how to register for Icecat’s Free Vendor Central.
