The German branch of the Japanese multinational corporation Canon Deutschland is becoming an Open Icecat Sponsor. This way, Canon syndicates its product content to all the channel partners for free, while having full control over it.
Founded in 1937, Canon is a company with a rich tradition. It has many specializations, among others: optical, imaging, and industrial products, medical equipment, and printers and scanners.
Canon Deutschland invites all its e-commerce partners to get its standardized product content via Icecat. The free content includes, for example, specifications, marketing texts, product images, brochures, and many other content types. High-quality product content improves the online customer experience and increases sales.
What are the benefits of Open Icecat for Canon resellers? The Canon product content is delivered in a timely manner, complete and complemented by localized digital assets. The content of Canon is now available immediately after registration in the Icecat catalog for free in German, French and Italian. Retailers have the option to download and implement the product content in various formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, or Icecat LIVE. Furthermore, to provide legal comfort, Canon Deutschland has licensed Icecat to syndicate its copyrighted materials to its channel partners.
If you are a Canon reseller, use your Icecat account to download its free product content. In case you don’t have an account please register online, contact your local Account Manager, or contact us online. Further, we advise authorized Canon resellers to request authorization to Canon via the Icecat interface.
