6K LinkedIn Company Followers: How to Grow Further?

Recently, the Icecat LinkedIn company page reached 6,000 organic followers. At the same time, our CEO has almost 28K connections. To achieve these amounts of organic connections or followers and increase this, we have some practical tips that will help grow the number of followers on LinkedIn company pages.

Optimize your Company Page for SEO

Google displays the beginning of the tagline on your company page in search results. This will help online visitors understand what the business is about. For example, mission, vision, value, what makes a brand unique, and what services and products are sold. And, don’t forget to include a Click-to-Action. It is critical to use this section smartly to persuade an online visitor to visit the LinkedIn company page. Furthermore, the “about us” section is crucial as this will raise your chances of gaining new followers. Yet, still, be aware that people on LinkedIn typically want to connect and follow other people. A CEO is the “banner” of an organization. Capitalize on that.

Posting creative (video) consistently

There is a space of 1,300 characters for each message. Consistent branded and relevant posts on a LinkedIn Company Page and personal profile give more visibility in the feed and make it more appealing to other LinkedIn users. Even better is posting videos directly on LinkedIn, as this performs better than text-only posts and videos from YouTube. LinkedIn prefers video content hosted on their platform instead of linking to an external video source, driving their users away. This content can be shared by colleagues, the CEO, and the other way around.

Nevertheless, be aware that people are more interested in personal content than in official content. So, strike a good balance. And, focus on the quality content that you already invest in elsewhere: your company blog for example. Because it is not your objective that people stay on a company page in LinkedIn, but start engaging with you in your own environments.

Engagement and visibility

In each post, you can tag a member in your network, companies, and the company you work for to help the engagement towards potential followers further. A click-to-action encourages engagements. The more shares, comments, and likes a post receives in the first hour, the higher the chance that the LinkedIn algorithm displays the post on the timeline of other members in your network.

Next, you can also notify your employees to follow the LinkedIn company page and inform them when a new post is live. This will help the engagement of each post when live.

Furthermore, relevant hashtags can be crucial to increase the visibility of the posts further. It will help grow the number of followers, and besides, it also will look professional.

Study new ideas for growth

To further grow towards 10k followers, Icecat will continue sharing engaging content, share job postings, and respond to posts where Icecat is tagged or commented. Of course, the active influencers are our own colleagues, users, clients. It is important to capitalize on that. Besides that, we will investigate to start a dynamic follower ad campaign and sponsor relevant posts, and measure how effective that is.
