Poly joins Icecat as an open Icecat Sponsor to syndicate its product content to the channel. Poly is a global communications company known for its audio, video, and collaboration solutions. Formerly Plantronics and Polycom which has been acquired by HP. It offers a range of products like headsets, conference phones, and video conferencing systems, enabling seamless communication and collaboration for businesses worldwide.
All the available Poly product content is now available in the Icecat catalog for syndication to all Poly channel partners in Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland & United Kingdom.
Poly e-commerce partners can download the structured product content via Icecat. The content for each product is structured in product datasheets (PDS). What content is available in a PDS? A PDS generally contains product specifications, marketing texts, images, brochures, logos, and rich media assets. Channel partners can use various formats, like XML, JSON, CSV, or JavaScript, to embed or upload content into their online stores. Of course, integration manuals are available for each of these formats. Alternatively, users can choose some of the Icecat connectors. The main advantage for Poly channel partners is that they provide their online visitors with timely, standardized. Additionally, better product content improves the online shopping experience and increases conversion and sales.
Timelines
The process of describing and optimizing Poly hardware in Icecat is currently pending and is anticipated to be completed by March 22nd, 2024, at the latest. Following this, Poly services will be incorporated, with the aim of finalizing them by May 10th, 2024.
