Often shoppers are overwhelmed by the complexity of the shopping process when it comes to buying, for example, a PC. Therefore, simplifying the shopping journey is critical. Content on product pages is key, as these pages remain the most important touch point to provide essential information during the purchase stage of the shopping journey.
When buying a PC, many specs can be considered of which the processor is an important one. The processor is the cortex of any PC. It controls everything the PC does, and makes it faster and more powerful. Understanding the difference between processors is important when choosing the PC that best fits a shopper’s use and needs.
To enrich the content for product pages, Intel and Icecat collaborate on all Intel’s OEM (original equipment manufacturer) product datasheets by adding the “CPU Badge”. This is implemented as a feature logo, an existing digital asset type in Icecat, that is showing up in every relevant product data-sheet along with a short description, highlighting the key benefits of the respective processor type. As an example you can check the PDS for the HP 850 G4 Notebook with an Intel Intel® Core™ i7.
In this example, you will see the additional feature information on mouse-over.
There are several ways to download the information regarding a feature logo from the product XML or JSON files. For the detailed information please check Digital Asset Types as Represented in Icecat’s Open Catalog Interfaces.
The complete list of all feature logos may be found in Icecat’s ref files for Open Icecat users or Full Icecat users.
