New Version Icepim Leads to Faster Time to Market

Push Real-time Product Updates to Your Ecom System

With the most recent 2.2.5 version update of Icepim of March 27, 2019, Icepim offers the possibility of real-time content updates of your e-commerce system. This means that every Icepim user that has its Push-API (application programming interface) connected, will be able to receive real-time updates from Icepim for both product content and logistical data.

How does it work?

Once the Push-API driver within Icepim is enabled, each time something in a product’s content changes, the product contents gets exported, i.e., pushed into your system through your Push-API.

If you, for example, manually change a product description in Icepim and click “save”, the product gets automatically updated via the API Push. The same for price, stock, product type, description, and all other available product fields.

The same is true for automated imports into Icepim: if new or changed product content is imported from, for example, Icecat, Icepim instantly pushes the updated content towards your connected APIs. Even when the Icecat content import is still running, so no more waiting till the import is finished in order to run the export. This saves a lot of time and frustration. Your ecommerce system will be real-time synced with your Icepim and import sources in this way.

Real-Time Icepim Data Flow

In the above you can see the real-time data flow between your ecommerce system, Icepim, and other sources.

What are the main advantages of using the API Push module?
– Firstly, no more waiting until the Icecat import is finished to update your system.
– Secondly, no more waiting for long export processes before products are updated.
– Thirdly, no more task manager / cron configuration needed for batch processes.
– Lastly, shorter time-to-market with new products.
