We’re excited to introduce Icecat PIM 3.4.0! This latest release is packed with enhancements designed to elevate your onboarding experience, including the addition of Video Tutorials. We’ve also implemented advanced pricing rule conditions, standardized AI text generation, upgraded the dashboard, and expanded functionality for our connectors. Dive into the new features below!
We’ve introduced a series of tutorials to make navigating PIM features effortless. Each concise and practical video highlights key functionalities, along with step-by-step instructions. Additionally, they include use cases, best practices, and real-world examples to ensure you get the most out of them. Introduced the ability to create price rules based on categories, similar to the existing functionality based on product types. This feature allows users to set specific pricing rules for individual categories with ease. However, it’s important to note a key limitation: price rules applied to a category will not automatically extend to its sub-categories. To maintain optimal performance during the price calculation process (e.g., during imports), sub-categories must have their own separate price rules. For example, if a main category contains three sub-categories, the user needs to define rules for each sub-category individually. In cases where multiple price rules overlap, the rule with the lowest sorting priority will take precedence.
AI-powered product editing now ensures optimized text length, making your product information more precise and effective. Each field is carefully aligned with Icecat’s standard field lengths, ensuring better consistency, improved accuracy, and integration with global content standards. This makes it easier to deliver clear and professional product descriptions that enhance user experience.
The graphics loading speed has been improved. We’ve introduced functionality to calculate the graphic twice a day. Additionally, we added a “Refresh” button to allow users to manually trigger the calculation, eliminating the need to wait for the scheduled calculation.
This feature allows you to map and update attribute values, including handling empty fields. If an attribute value is empty, you can use the “Is empty” condition to target it specifically. For fields with existing values, simply input the current value. You can then define the new value to map in the corresponding field. Once configured, click “Apply Rules” to update the values efficiently. To streamline the process, the Attribute Mapping job should be executed following the completion of the Icecat enrich process within the Task Automation Manager.
Users now have the option to enable a check for EAN/UPC/GTIN codes when importing or exporting products. By default, this feature is turned off, meaning these codes are not automatically validated. When a post-filter is applied on imports, only products with complete EAN/UPC codes will be imported. Similarly, if applied during exports, Icecat PIM will exclusively export products that include EAN/UPC codes.
We’ve introduced multi-shop export capabilities, making exports to Shopware more versatile and efficient. You can now export products to different Shopware stores based on their categories. For example, if a product belongs to multiple categories, you can export it to one Shopware store under Category 1 and to another Shopware store under Category 2. This lets you customize product categorization across Shopware stores, all managed through Icecat PIM.
Improved connector performance.
