We’re excited to announce the release notes of Icecat PIM 2.4.3.2, with improvements designed to simplify and enhance your product data management experience. This update focuses on several key areas:
Now Partial Icecat enrich/manual enrich imports will use the setting in Icecat XML import to enrich your product data with Icecat UPC/EAN codes, or solely rely on codes from Icecat Connect or manual entry.
This setting will apply to all Icecat enrichment processes.
We’ve enhanced our translation-saving process in Icecat PIM. Moving forward, adding additional administrator languages such as German, Spanish, French, etc., will be seamless.
Many of our users often forget to provide translations for all the languages used in Icecat PIM when creating custom attributes. This oversight leads to exported attributes having empty values for certain languages. By issuing this reminder, we aim to reduce errors of this nature.
With the addition of the ‘New Price Import Date’ column, we can now track the time and date when suppliers make price changes to their feed.
As we’ve renamed ‘Shops’ to ‘Channels’ in Icecat PIM, during Icecat category import, every category will now be automatically assigned to the default channel. This adjustment is necessary for seamless operation with the Shopify connector. The Category edit section now lets you easily reassign categories to different channels (using multi-select).
From now on, External IDs (Icecat feature IDs) are accessible in Icecat PIM for each attribute.
The mentioned field can also be exported.
Previously, the warehouse selector only functioned for products imported from Icecat Connect. Now, the warehouse selector will consider all products, regardless of their creation method: Icecat Connect, custom import, or manual creation in product edit.
Whether to utilize Icecat categories is a choice for our customers. With advanced selection options such as using categories from the import file, replacing existing categories with Icecat categories, keeping existing categories and adding Icecat categories, or adding Icecat categories only to products without categories, we offer a wide range of choices to meet our customers’ diverse business needs.
If an image is fully deactivated in Icecat and a customer manually enriches the product in the product edit, with the new image status update, this image will be deleted from Icecat PIM. This setting is already operational for other Icecat imports.
Customers can manually check the ‘Manually enriched’ checkbox in the product edit. For added convenience, we’ve included a corresponding filter in the product overview. If a product is designated as manually enriched and a customer applies the ‘Content filter’ in post filters, these products will also be included.
The product overview now remembers your filter selections! When you use the filter search and move products on this page, your filters will stay active instead of resetting to default.
When applying locks from the product overview, you have the option to specify the behavior of the lock: either to add locks to existing ones for the products or to overwrite the existing locks with the new selections. The default behavior remains unchanged: adding locks to existing ones.
Please note that all Icecat PIM customers will be updated to the newest 2.4.3.2 version by the end of April 2024. If you need more detailed information on the new release improvements, features, and fixes, please refer to the Release logs in your Icecat PIM or check the previously released notes.
