Philips Number 1 Brand in e-channel in Q3 2016
In Q3, 2016, Philips overtook HP as the number one brand in the Icecat channel monitor. This is the first time, since Icecat started with it monitor ten years ago, that HP is not occupying the top spot. The main ’cause’ is the divestment of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). The combined download traffic of HP and HPE would still make it the master of the e-channel. Acer and Asus do well in the e-channel as well. These Icecat figures are based on 1.6 billion data-sheet downloads by around 61,000 connected webshops, worldwide.
In terms of connnected ePlatforms, ebusiness platforms ranging from single webshops to environments with 1,000s of webshops, HP is still number one, followed by Samsung. DELL is relatively developing fastest in terms of connecting to new ePlatforms year-on-year (+6%).
