There’s a longstanding co-operation with Carrefour, among others in Belgium. Carrefour Belgium – relaunching non-food categories on its bilingual website Carrefour.eu soon – is calling its non-food suppliers to register for Icecat’s free Vendor Central to enter product data themselves for Carrefour.eu, or to join Open Icecat, for an unlimited syndication of all their product information to all their (ecommerce) channel partners.
Carrefour is individually contacting its suppliers, indicating the relevant assortment that needs to be covered. “The enrichment and quality of product content and images are crucial in stimulating online sales. Better and more great content, will result in better visibility of a supplier’s product on our website”, according to the management of Carrefour.
