There is, huge brand diversity in DIY & Construction. The top 25 of brands cover 59% of total brand visibility in this vertical, and the highest brand share is a mere 9% (ABB). The business-to-business (b2b) and projects oriented character of this industry, implies that niche brands can thrive.
In general, the DIY & Construction vertical is increasingly e-commerce ready. Especially, the branded products are quick to sell online, both by generalists like Amazon and by specialists like DIY.com. If the outcome of b2b depends on it, quality brands will have an advantage over other brands.
